The bee centre take their hivs to lush heather in Anglesey. The bees only fly 3 miles from the hive and the heather is around 6 miles in radius so they know its only heather pollen that the bees will collect. There has been a recent study in Dublin that shows heather honey to be as beneficial and the popular Manuka honey.
